About me:
My name's Christina Wager, and I love all things literary. I like to write, I like to read, I like to look at book covers -- hence my reason for starting up this blog. I'm originally from SC, USA, but I'm currently residing in Germany. Morphology, grammar and analysis are very important to me. After spending the better part of my adolescence reading classical and modern literature alike as well as doing research on literary theory in preparation for my writing career, I feel that I ought to share some of the knowledge I've soaked up with other writers and soon-to-be-writers. Learning is a two-way process in my opinion: First one studies, and then one teaches others, and then one learns even more from the experience. Even if you're not a writer or an artist, I hope my blog will keep you entertained.
Aside from books, I also love video games, good movies and funny Youtube videos.Occasionally I bake stuff -- which I might post here as well one day -- and I dabble in film editing, art design and social activism in my spare time.
About this blog:
"Wager on Literature" is a place where I take a look at book covers, review books, rant about genres and theories, give literary advice and occasionally go on a tangent about films, design and writing in general.
Here, the budding writer and the seasoned author will find literary advice and articles about classics, obscure oldies and contemporary popular lit. For a writer, there is no such thing as superfluous advice, so I hope that you, whoever you are, be you playwright, poet, novelist, essayist or a run-of-the-mill Average Joe (or Joanna), will discover here the three E's -- enlightenment, elaboration and, most importantly of all, entertainment.
